The history of the Far Eastern New Century Group began in 1949 with the founding of Far Eastern Textile Limited. The company has continued to invest and expand ever since, and now has 10 major businesses including petrochemicals and energy, polyester and synthetic fibers, cement and building materials, and retail and department stores.

There are nine listed companies in the Group, including financial services, sea and ground transport, telecommunications and Internet, construction, hotels, and philanthropic enterprises. With more than 510,000 shareholders, their assets total TWD2.62 trillion (USD85 billion) and annual sales exceeded TWD719 billion (USD23.4 billion) at the end of 2018.

In order to continuously create new value for its clients and shareholders, the company employs approximately 60,000 highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated staff in more than ten countries, including China, Canada, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore. In Malaysia and Thailand, we utilize state-of-the-art technology, know-how, skills and facilities to manufacture and sell high-quality products ranging from energy to synthetic fibers, textiles, apparel, cement, and construction materials.
